hese are the portraits that make up the "All the Faces of the World" series.  The way of painting individual pieces well illustrates the topic discussed in "Animal Portraits" - how to paint the emotions and nature of every creature. Some faces are quite realistic, one can recognize the animal species. Others are trembling, slightly impressionistic, and the rest often takes the form of a sign, a very simplified synthesis of some shape. I understand the need to maintain artistic seriousness, but at the same time I cannot and I do not want to lose my childish, slightly naive surprise at the richness of colors, expressions, grimaces, furs, scales, feathers, spots and dots.
